Our Story
Founded in 2023, Hoorad begun his tutoring journey in the late years of his high schooling. With his recent experience as a student himself in the Australian education system, he is filled with updated knowledge on how to succeed and excel in school, especially with his high ambitions of studying medicine. Hoorad loves teaching with a great passion. Outside of tutoring, you may find him at the gym, beach, or even cycling around town.

His tutoring methods are also inspired by well-known (Jim Kwik's) Limitless learning techniques to significantly increase academical performance of students and their attitude towards learning. He is always agile and researching for new methods to help his students learn more effectively.

Our Lesson Structure
Review
Students progress best when they build on what they've previously learned. By starting each lesson with a summary of prior content, students reinforce their understanding, stay aware of their learning journey, and approach the upcoming lesson with clear goals and greater engagement.
This is the core learning time of the lesson. In a 90-minute session, students are fully engaged in 90 minutes of active learning, excluding time spent on review and revision. During this phase, students are encouraged to ask questions and even teach the tutor, reinforcing their understanding and ensuring they grasp the content deeply.

Revise
The final phase of the lesson focuses on revising and consolidating what has been learned. Students participate in activities like quizzes or exams to enhance their understanding and fill in any gaps. This is a valuable opportunity for students to ask questions and seek clarification from their tutor. At Xcelsis, we emphasize the power of repetition to ensure more effective and lasting learning.
We believe this section is the most unique part of our lessons, offering students and parents a clear overview of the student's performance while providing actionable steps for improvement in future lessons. It’s not just a chance for students to receive feedback but also an opportunity to share thoughts on the lesson structure and tutor, fostering openness and continuous improvement.
